About Hudson Planning

Hudson Planning was set up in 2010 & our experience extends across a wide range of projects in different industries & sectors.

Sectors we have experience with cover residential, retail, commercial/industrial, infrastructure, education and rural. We particularly specialise in minerals, waste and energy proposals, along with schemes that may require environmental impact assessment. We have extensive knowledge of the planning system, and understand how to shape development proposals so that they can achieve planning permission.

Hudson Planning works with a range of trusted consultants and specialists to prepare reports for planning applications and environmental impact assessments. Helen Hudson - Director BSc (Hons) MSc MRTPI

Helen has over 30 years of planning and development experience gained in both the public and private sector. She is a chartered town planner and a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Her experience extends across a wide range of planning and development issues, and she can prepare planning applications for small household and business extensions through to major developments that involve environmental impact assessments. 

Helen is an experienced Project Manager for major planning applications, working on complex and challenging development proposals. She initially worked at Surrey County Council for 16 years, in which she gained an exhaustive knowledge of different aspects of planning applications and planning policy. Helen then worked in private consultancy for Alliance Planning for three years, before setting up Hudson Planning in 2010.
